Stage set for rounds 1 & 2 of RCGP

The series posted the following message via the RCGP website…

The 2019 Schedule for RCGP has been set, and we are pleased to announce that RCGP Rounds 1 & 2 will be held in Manila, Philippines, joining the already established, and world famous Philippine Masters event the first week end of May. The opening race of the season will be held on a brand new layout, streamed live on youtube for the global RC racing audience.

The RCGP Races are 3 day events, with the RCGP class limited to at most 30 drivers, and an open class (RC2) for everyone else. Friday is practice for everyone, Saturday is qualifying for RC2, and one complete race for RCGP. Sunday is finals for RC2, and a second complete race for RCGP.

Each week end will see two separate RCGP races, thus doubling the amount of races in the championship series, making for a more exciting points chase.

Stay tuned for more news about races, teams, and brands supporting RCGP in the coming weeks!

NEW RELEASE – Tekno 1/10th 4wd Truggy

Tekno RC is proud to announce the newest addition to our stable of innovative RC vehicles – ET410 1/10th 4WD Competition Electric Truggy Kit!

At Tekno RC, we’ve always strived to think outside the box. Rules and standards are great and all, but when it comes to maximum fun and performance, sometimes you just have to do your own thing. For example, it’s only been about 10 years since we pioneered the 1/8th electric buggy class. From there we released the first purpose-built 1/8th electric buggy kit in 2012, and that class is now one of the most popular in the world.

This time though, we didn’t throw out the rulebook entirely as the 1/10th 4wd truck class has been ‘on the books’ for quite some time. Knowing that, we saw an opportunity to introduce a new vehicle that checks all of the right boxes – performance, innovation, durability, and most of all, fun!

NEW Schelle B6.1 carbon motor plate

Coming soon from Schelle Racing Innovations is a 3.5mm carbon fibre motor plate for Team Associated’s B6.1-based vehicles. The laydown motor plate was tested at the OCRC Stock Nationals and won the 40+ class. Schelle took the motor plate up to 3.5mm thick, with a clearance cut for the slipper clutch, so that it would hold the motor rigid while still shaving weight off the chassis. The plate scrubs over three grams of weight and it fits the Layback and Laydown Gearboxes of the B6.1, B6.1D, T6.1, and SC6.1. The plate is available for pre-order now and will become available in early August.
